Living Well at the Library

When Renfrewshire Libraries began to develop a drop-in local information service in association with Macmillan Cancer they asked the ALISS team to help them develop the online part of the service.

Volunteers and library staff use the site, which is powered by ALISS and only searches the links that the LW@TL community partners have contributed and curated. This ensures that results are rich, local, relevant and current. It’s quite simple to pop in a postcode/place name and a keyword or two and the Engine serves up local organisations and activities. Results are intended to be local to Paisley and its surroundings – search for info about Stirling and you won’t find much.
