Happy New Year from the ALISS team! With the new year now underway, we wanted to give you a little update on what we have been working on over the past few months, as well as what is coming next. We are looking forward to another year of connecting with communities across Scotland.

ALISS Asset Mapping Toolkit relaunch

We are pleased to relaunch our Asset Mapping Toolkit. The refreshed toolkit explains what asset mapping is, why it matters, and how it can support community wellbeing. It also shows how ALISS can be used to record, share, and keep information up to date. The newest version includes a simple, four-step approach, along with practical tools and templates.

Development update

Last year, we invited users to share their experience of using ALISS in our annual survey. While most people rated their overall experience as good, some highlighted issues with the website's user interface. We ended 2025 by addressing this feedback and making improvements to the homepage and search results, making the website easier to use on all devices. 

ALISS Strategy 2025-2028

We have published our revised strategy setting out how we plan to build on our strengths and continue to deliver value across Scotland from 2025 to 2028. The strategy focuses on five core pillars: more data, better data, better experience, more users, and better insights - and outlines our priorities for the upcoming years. 

Upcoming event: ALLIANCE Annual Conference

Join the ALLIANCE on 23 March 2026 as they reflect on their journey and look ahead to a stronger future for health and social care in Scotland. The event will celebrate the ALLIANCE’s 20th birthday and explore how to build on the last 20 years to create progress that is intentional, sustainable, and centred on lived experience.

We are committed to ensuring that people searching for health and wellbeing services can trust the information they find.
