Green Yoga

Green Yoga classes are friendly and relaxed, and are suitable for all ages and abilities.

Everyone is welcome, no matter your level of experience, and the classes are just as suitable for men as women.

A Typical Class
Classes take place in a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. Most of the time is spent practising static postures (asana) and dynamic sequences designed to strengthen and stretch the body, whilst creating openness in the joints. Each class has a focus (e.g. opening the shoulders, developing core body strength) whilst also ensuring that the whole body has been ‘exercised’ and brought into equilibrium. Breathing exercises (pranayama) and meditation techniques are also explored, and every class finishes with a guided relaxation.

What to Bring
Following the pointers below will help you get the most from the class.

Bring a mat – a yoga mat is best but an exercise mat will be fine. If you don’t have a mat you can borrow one for the first few classes.
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely
Bring a jumper/fleece for the relaxation session at the end
You might want to bring a bottle of water
Avoid eating anything heavy for at least two hours before the class.
