Home-Start Glasgow South
Claimed
Home-Start Glasgow South have been supporting families living in South Glasgow, with at least one child under the age of 8, since 2000.
The families we support come from a wide variety of backgrounds and are looking for support for many different reasons including poor mental health, isolation, physical health issues, domestic abuse, addictions, poverty, bereavement, single parenting, multiple birth or who just need an extra pair of hands. Families are often referred via their GP, Health Visitor or Social Worker. However, many families contact us directly.
Home-Start Glasgow South volunteers visit families in their own homes for up to 3 hours each week, offering tailor made emotional and practical support.
Home-Start Glasgow South provide intensive family support work for families working with Social Work or who require more intensive, short term support. Family Support Workers provide focussed support for as long as families require.
