Uist Community Riding School
Uist Community Riding School is run by a voluntary committee and, although there is a core of salaried staff, it also relies heavily on voluntary work carried out both by adults and by local young people for whom the riding school forms an important part of their learning and social development.
?At present there are 20 horses and ponies of all sizes in the Riding School. If you are over five years old and whatever your level of experience, the staff will be able to match you up to a suitable mount. To help build confidence, we can offer ‘meet the horse’ sessions, where you can help feed, groom and clean out horses, all under careful supervision.
