Veterans Mentoring Service

This is a Claimed service
Delivered by: Sacro This is a Claimed organisation
Last updated: 15/09/2025

The service will work closely with the veteran to put an intensive support plan in place where strategies can be developed to cope with their specific needs. The aim of the service is to enable the service user to enjoy sustainable, independent living.

Veterans will be linked with a mentor with “lived military experience” who, through the development of a supportive relationship, will work together to promote desistance from offending and increasing the veteran’s self-esteem and confidence.

If you have ever served within the UK military (Royal Navy, Army, Royal Air Force) then you are eligible for assistance.

The service is currently offered across the central belt of Scotland, including Edinburgh & Lothians, Glasgow, Fife & Tayside. It may be provided to other local authorities where appropriate and may be delivered remotely.
