Carers Support Groups
Caring can be rewarding, but it can also make you feel isolated and alone - like you are the only one.... Support Groups are a great way to meet with other people in similar situations, share your stories, pick up tips and learn new skills. We organise lunches and trips, and great friendships often evolve. All the groups are confidential, and you can feel free to talk openly with people who really do understand. Don't forget, our Carers Jubilee Garden, in Galashiels, is also available for carers to use.
The groups also get involved in taking part in steering groups and forums, which is a great way to have your voice heard, often at Government level. We will also arrange for speakers to visit, if there is some further information the group would value hearing about.
Support Groups are based all over the Borders and meet once per month.
