Aberdeenshire Employability Agreements (AEA)
Do you require one to one support to help you prepare for Further Education, Training and/or Employment? Then An Employability Agreement may be for you.
What is an Employability Agreement?
A voluntary agreement with a keyworker from one of our council services or a partner organisation that will be tailored to your needs and interests to support you to take part in activities that will develop your skills, knowledge and experience to help you move into further learning, training and/or employment.
A programme of activities that you have chosen that will be put together with the support of a keyworker.
A stepping stone for those not yet ready to sustain further education, training and/or employment but are ready to move forward with support.
AEAs are individual packages of support designed in conjunction with the young person, delivered by a range of council services and partners
Examples of Support:
Confidence building activity
Social Skills Development
The above are just examples as an Agreement will be based on Your needs and Interests.
Employability Agreements aim to engage young people who are furthest away from learning and have not been able to find a suitable offer via 16+Learning Choices. AEA's aims to re-engage young people in learning and to equip young people to make positive transition to further Stages along the Employability Pipeline or directly into employment or training.
The OfA team within Aberdeenshire Council CLD Service – manages and co-ordinates all AEA throughout Aberdeenshire. ALL REFERRALS for any AEA delivered should be directed to Opportunitiesforall@aberdeenshire.gov.uk
