Capability Scotland North Lanarkshire offers disabled people a person-centred approach which meets the customers' individualised needs and preferences in having a 'good life'.
It is a flexible and customer-led service which enables people to live as safely and independently as possible as well as providing support to access their community.
The supports that we can provide range from intensive support covering 24/7 support - through to providing lower intensity supports with the primary focus on activities and community access. Regardless of the level of support we strive to support all disabled adults and children using our services in having a better life through providing;
. Practical support and advice on managing a tenancy
. Help to develop independent living skills, such as cooking, budgeting, paying bills etc.
. Access to local communities in social, leisure and learning activities;. Safety and security through appropriate levels of support (including overnight)
. Support to therapeutic activity
. Meaningful and purposeful recreational activities;. Maintenance and the promotion of health and wellbeing
. Support for people at school or college;. Assistance in identifying and attending supported employment and volunteering opportunities
. Support with holidays and short breaks
. Help to build confidence and raise self-esteem
. Support with Personal Care
