The service was established to offer awareness raising and intensive support for children, parents and families. The service offers awareness raising and intensive support for children and young people experiencing a range of issues. Some areas of concern worked with were:

- Parental or family separation
- Bereavement
- Bullying
- Domestic Abuse
- Sexual Abuse
- Physical Abuse
- Family Illness
- Isolation due to ethnicity or religion

The service offers art therapy, therapeutic play, counselling, advocacy, befriending and group support. The service aims to improve self-esteem, build resilience and enhance confidence, enabling children to be safe and secure. Throughout each session positive coping skills are taught and reinforced to create stable environments and situations.
