Deeside Community Buses - We offer not-for-profit groups affordable, door to door travel to their activities and outings with accredited training for volunteer drivers. Our community buses are well maintained and are fitted with lifts for wheelchair access. We have a 13 and 16 seater (not including the driver) available for hire and our current hire charge is £1.05/mile with a £20 minimum hire charge.
Deeside Village Hopper - The Deeside Village Hopper is a much loved service that operates Monday to Friday linking the villages of Aboyne, Logie Coldstone, Tarland, Lumphanan, Finzean, Strachan and Kincardine O’Neil with the social and commercial centres in Aboyne and Banchory. It assists people without cars, parents and toddlers, young people, elderly and people with disabilities to participate in the life of the community and reach important services.
Our services are:
Mondays and Wednesdays ONLY Aboyne Town Service
Tuesday ONLY Aboyne – Migvie – Tarland Circular
Thursday ONLY Tarland - Aboyne – Banchory Service
Friday Morning ONLY Aboyne – Lumphanan – Tarland Circular
Friday Afternoon ONLY Aboyne – Lumphanan – Torphins – Banchory
Mid Deeside Hospital Transport - We use our fleet of community buses and a volunteer car pool to transport people to and from Aboyne Hospital and Aboyne Medical Centre within the Mid Deeside area. We have a team of volunteers who give their time to support this great initiative that was jointly funded by Marr Area Health & Wellbeing Care Fund, Aberdeenshire Council and Mid Deeside Community Trust.
