Corseford Residential and Respite Service
Corseford Residential provides accommodation for up to sixteen young people aged between five and nineteen with additional support needs including complex disabilities.
Who is it for?
children, adults and families living with a disability to support them in their every day lives.
What can we provide?
- a respite service for up to 4 young people at a time
- a residential provision for 12 young people
The Main focus of the residential and respite service is to provide positive experiences to children, young people and their families within a social care setting and to support integration into the wider community. Social Activities such as excursions to places of interest will be part of the residential experience.
It is fundamental to the work of Corseford Residential and Respite Service that every individual has the right to experience, to question, to challenge and to be supported fully to the road to independence. The unit will therefore seeks to work with families to improve the quality of life of young people. This will be achieved through the delivery of holistic care within the resource and by adopting the principles of person centred planning.
The respite can provide short or long term stays dependent on individual needs and referrals can be made for young people who do not attend Corseford School.
