Employment Support Team
The Employment Support Team assists anyone who lives within Aberdeenshire who is actively seeking employment or looking to enter education or training to gain full-time or additional employment.
We can offer practical assistance if you are returning to the work market after an absence such as raising children, health issues or looking to retrain for a better job.
We offer professional 1:1 support from a designated Key Worker who will take you through a journey from assessment into work, education or training. They will give you practical help with CV completion, getting you signed up for Job Search websites and an email address. They will help with interview techniques, communication skills and personal presentation.
We run Job Clubs throughout Aberdeenshire where you can access laptops to get online and help in your jobsearch. If you have no computer skills the Key Worker can offer practical guidance and a simple paper based instruction course to help you.
We also offer additional support with finding affordable and flexible childcare and access to short term financial help with childcare costs. We provide support in finding short-term financial assistance with items such as work clothes, travel and even groceries when you first start work. We also provide advice about budget and benefits.
Please contact us for times of our jobclubs, or for a referral to a Key Worker.
