Foodshare is a project the CCG run to tackle the major issue that is food wastage.1.9 million tonnes of food are wasted by the food industry 250 thousand tones of which is still edible, working in partnership with Fareshare Glasgow CCG is working towards getting rid of food wastage and hunger by distributing the food collected by Fareshare.
The surplus food we collect from fare share is sorted into bags roughly worth £15-£25 and given out for a suggested donation of £3.50.
