Hearing Aid Clinic
by Action on Hearing Loss Scotland ( Sensory Impairment )
Volunteers are trained by NHS audiology to clean ear moulds, replace tubing and provide new batteries – a locally delivered service which means people don’t need to travel to hospital for basic hearing aid support. They also give people information on assistive technology such as amplified telephones, personal listeners and vibrating and flashing doorbells and alarms.
Getting used to wearing hearing aids takes time. Hear to Help support volunteers can help you persevere so you can communicate more easily with your family and friends.
