Homeless/Mental Health Football Sessions
by Partick Thistle Charitable Trust Claimed
This session offers football as a form of physical recreation designed to improve general health and fitness – as well as tracking individualised health improvements e.g. weight, blood pressure, BMI etc.
We plan on introducing more agencies who would involve coaches and staff to work alongside participants to set goals around their physical activity, health and fitness and, in time, goals to help them address the other challenges in their lives.
At present we are delivering two, 2 hour football session every Monday & Thursday @ Petershill Football Centre. 3pm - 5pm
We also provide everyone who wishes to play with shorts, socks, a top, and football boots (depending on stock and sizes).
After the football sessions everyone is welcome to enjoy a hot nutrious meal.
From the football sessions we also enter two teams into the SFA Mental Health & Well-being League, fixtures are played once a month.
