Hope Community Garden
The garden is part of the community and caters for everyone including elderly residents and physically and mentally disabled people. All the residents love the garden very much and it's a relaxing environment. The group helps promote healthy eating and healthy mental health, teaching residents how to grow their own vegetables and doing away with social isolation which elderly residents and disabled people suffer from the most.
The group believes that it is very important to bring people together as this will help form friendships. Friendships are important especially if an individual is on their own or needing someone to talk to, and the garden helps brings people together.
In 2018, Hope Community Garden Project was awarded a Certificate of Distinction to further recognise the groups' achievements.
