Housing Advice & Lay Representation for Rent Arrears

We provide free, confidential and independent housing advice on a wide range of housing issues. We are accredited to Type III in the Scottish National Standards for Information and Advice Providers.

Some of the issues we can help with include;
- looking at housing options
- provision of lay representation at court for eviction
- negotiating with landlords to help set up repayment plans for rent arrears
- advice on homelessness, including homelessness appeals, application process
- advice on tenancy rights and responsibilities, including tenancy condition, deposits
- referral to specialist agencies, e.g. debt advice, legal advice, money advice, short-term housing support
- advice on mortgage repossession process
- advice on anti-social behaviour order process
- advice on tenant rights, including harassment and illegal eviction, relationship breakdown, discrimmination
