Loss and Bereavement Support for Children and Young People

by Sunrise Partnership SCIO ( Parent & Family Support, Early Years )

Sunrise Partnership offers a free, confidential service for children and young people up to age 18 who have been affected by loss and bereavement. They aim to help children and young people to deal with loss and the death of a significant person from their lives in a healthy and positive way, by helping them find coping strategies that work for them. All our support staff are fully qualified and experienced in loss and bereavement work. They are based in Aberdeen and accept referrals from Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire. Children and young people can be seen at home, at school or elsewhere. Referrals can come from young people, their families or carers, or professionals working with the children and young people. There is no formal referral process.
