Music Therapy at Home
We offer one to one Music Therapy assessments and sessions at home, to people of all ages. Our sessions aim to improve anything that impacts on someone's ability to live independently or their quality of life.
We work alongside parents or carers at home, staff in residential homes, local authority teams, social services, and other organisations that work with adults and children within the community.
We focus on developing skills that can be transferred from the Music Therapy session, into everyday life. For children, we may focus on improving communication skills, understanding of social situations and interactions as well as looking at learning skills and any emotional or behavioural issues.
For adults, we promote independence and support them to overcome physical and psychological difficulties. We aim to improve a person's mental health and well-being and help people feel accepted and valued in their circle of family, friends and community.
We support children and adults with learning disabilities; mental health difficulties; those who do not yet have a diagnosis, Autism, dementia or Alzheimer's. We see a whole range of clients, from those with a mild disability to those with profound and complex needs.
