This is a broad group open to people who use adult social care services and carers with an interest in health and social care. The group usually concentrates on services for older people, people with physical disabilities and long term conditions (outside of mental health).
Members can raise any issue or concern at the group in relation to health and social care and the group decides which areas to focus on.
Members of the group also attend other planning meetings on themes such as homecare and telehealthcare.
The group regularly interfaces with statutory services, inviting guests to update and inform the group and answer questions.
It also takes part in local public consultations relating to health and social care.
