Talking Therapy

by Trust Jack Foundation Claimed

Sometimes it's easier to talk to a stranger than to relatives or friends. During talking therapy, someone listens to you and helps you find your own answers to problems, without judging you.

We will give you time to talk, cry, shout or just think. It's an opportunity to look at your problems in a different way with someone who'll respect you and your opinions.

Therapy sessions are 1 hour and we offer face to face or online sessions.

Although there are lots of different types of talking therapy, they all have a similar aim: to help you feel better. Some people say that talking therapies don't make their problems go away, but they find it easier to cope with them and feel happier.

For younger children and young people we add in other therapies such as play therapy and art therapy and often add in games that are therapy based. Our main aim is to build a relationship and trust with young people first before they start opening up about what they are struggling with. Then we can start working on starting to feel better.

Therapy is available by appointment only after a Mental Health Assessment.
