Falls Prevention and Education Class

Falls Prevention and Education Class Logo

Established in August 2024, this fun, friendly and relaxed class focuses on strengthening your muscles, improving your mobility and balance and reducing your risk of falling.

Exercises are mainly seated but include a short sit-to-stand segment. We also use resistance bands to provide a full body workout. Participants can enjoy a free cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit after the class.

If you’re concerned about your risk of falls or simply want to maintain or improve your strength, mobility and balance, come along and join us!

The class meets regularly in three venues across East Ayrshire:

Darvel Church Hall

Every Wednesday, 1pm - 3pm

(£2 suggested donation for tea/coffee).

Ochiltree Community Hub

Every Tuesday, 10am - 12pm

(No charge - café onsite for tea and coffee).

East Ayrshire Community Hospital

Every Tuesday and Thursday, 10am - 12pm
