Scalloway Youth & Community Centre is a vibrant hub in the centre of Scalloway where people of all ages can meet in a safe and welcoming environment.


We strive to provide an space that benefits all members of the Scalloway community through various organised groups and sessions, including:


  • Sixty plus weekly drop-ins, held on Wednesdays, 2pm-4pm. On the last Wednesday of the month, this is replaced by a Sixty plus lunch club at 1pm.
  • Adult Social Club held on Thursday evenings, 6.30pm- 10pm.
  • Table tennis on Thursday evenings, 7.30pm - 9pm.
  • Youth Cafe - sports and music projects on Friday evenings, 6.30 - 8.30pm
  • Youth Cafe held on Saturday evenings 6.30pm - 10pm.

We also have groups that hire our spaces for their own sessions.

Services

Adult Social Club

This is a Claimed service

Tuesdays afternoons (September - March. Come along for a social afternoon and take part in a range of activities such as Boccia, Darts, Snooker and Pool. Light lunch provided.

Sixty Plus drop-ins

This is a Claimed service

Weekly drop-in for adults aged 60+. Offers a varied programme of activities, visiting agencies and guest speakers. On the last Wednesday of the month there is a lunch club.

Table Tennis

This is a Claimed service

Table Tennis sessions held on Thursday nights, open to all abilities and families. Sessions split between different abilities.
