Listening Books is a nationwide charity providing an online audiobook lending service for adults and children who cannot read or hold a book due to illness, disability, learning or mental health conditions, such as cancer, dyslexia, arthritis or anxiety and depression.


Members can access over 10,000 books via the website or Libby app, including fiction, non-fiction and educational titles for children and teens. Access to newspapers and magazines online is also included with membership. The service is available 24 hours a day, and staff can be contacted Monday-Friday 9am-5pm to offer support via email or telephone.


Membership costs £25 per year, or they often have free memberships available for those that couldn't afford this.
