Acharacle Community Company
Acharacle Community Company is a community-led, not-for-profit organisation established in 2001, originally formed to save the local Post Office from closure. What began as a single campaign has grown into a thriving charity and constituted body at the heart of the Acharacle area.
The Company now owns and manages several key community assets, all of which play an important role in supporting local life and economic activity:
Community Centre – purchased from Highland Council and now a hub for community groups, local businesses, and events
Shielbridge (Village) Hall – acquired in 2025, with plans to develop and enhance it in partnership with the community.
The Community Centre is open Monday to Friday 10 - 3
Both the Hall and centre can be booked out with these times
