Ayrshire Council on Alcohol offers a free one-to-one confidential service to individuals who are concerned about their drinking. Counsellors trained to professional standards work with people whether they wish to abstain from alcohol or reduce their drinking to less harmful levels.
A family service is also available to those whose lives are affected by someone else’s drinking.
The service is run from accessible venues in South and East Ayrshire including Ayr, Kilmarnock, Dalmellington (Justice Services only) and Cumnock.
Our service is for ages 16 and over.

Services
Working with individuals and their families aged 16 years and over who live in East or South Ayrshire. Counsellors, trained to professional standards offer free 1-2-1 confidential advice.
A voluntary service that has been designed to assist prisoners who have been convicted of an alcohol-related offence and require a little help to make a fresh start.
Established in February 2020 with the purpose of bringing the voice of lived experience and recovery-focused groups across East Ayrshire together to promote information sharing.
Providing rapid access to support and or treatment for anyone affected by drugs or alcohol in East Ayrshire. We aim to offer a same day or next day appointment to help you identify recovery support.
