BeFriend at Berwickshire Housing Association

The National Lottery Community Fund Scotland and Berwickshire Housing Association (BHA) fund the BeFriend project to help people who live in Berwickshire and Kelso who are over the age of 65 to maintain social connections and engage with their local communities.

BeFriend offers individuals the opportunity to be matched with a 1-2-1 volunteer who visits/phones them on a regular basis. Alternatively, individuals can opt to join the Community befriending aspect of BeFriend.

Befriending is a great place to make friends, get out and about, and get active. Community befriending is involved in some regular activities including shopping trips, community lunches, musical events and other events such as seated Yoga, New Age Kurling, and Boccia.
