British Nordic Walking CIC

British Nordic Walking CIC Logo

British Nordic Walking is a not-for-profit organisation that promotes the health and wellbeing benefits of Nordic Walking across the UK.

We train and support qualified instructors to deliver fun, effective, and inclusive walking sessions using poles. Our instructors work in local communities, health settings, and outdoors organisations to help people get moving in a safe and enjoyable way.

Participants can expect small-group sessions in green spaces, led by instructors who tailor the pace and intensity to individual needs.

Nordic Walking is a full-body, low-impact activity that’s ideal for improving fitness, balance, and confidence—especially for people with long-term conditions, or those wanting to be more active in nature.

Session times vary by location; many groups offer morning or afternoon classes, with some evening or weekend options. Most instructors offer beginner-friendly taster sessions or courses. Poles are provided for new participants. No previous experience is necessary.
