Contact are a UK charity for families with disabled children.
Contact were founded in the 1970s by families of disabled children, who recognised that even if their child’s conditions were different, they shared a common experience – of being a family with a disabled child. Contact are here for all families with disabled children – supporting families, bringing families together and helping families take action for others.
Contact is a trading name of Contact a Family which is a charity registered in England and Wales (284912) and Scotland (SC039169).

Services
By Your Side service provides support to families of disabled and additional needs children – with or without a diagnosis – who are attending an appointment or staying in hospital.
Contact Scotland run an Enquiry Line for families with disabled children which can provide information and support on a range of queries, from early years through to transitions into adult life.
Contact run a free advice and information helpline for parents and carers with a disabled child aged from birth to 25, living in any part of the UK.
Listening Ear service offers hour-long 1-1 telephone appointments with a family support adviser for parent carers looking for emotional support and reassurance.
Talking About Tomorrow is a range of online information and resources to support young people with disabilities and their families during the transition to adult life in Scotland.
Contact offer free workshops for parents and carers on a range of topics including sleep, guardianship, money matters and preparing for adult life.
