Courtyard Pantry Enterprise

The Pantry Hub opened in March 2021 with the objective of helping to alleviate food insecurity in the area and to continue to provide employment, training and volunteering to disadvantaged groups.

During the next two years the Pantry Hub established itself as an essential community hub, a place of positivity and hope as well as providing a dignified and sustainable approach to food security for the local community. The success of the project convinced the team and the Flourish House board that a new charitable entity should be created with the express aim of tackling the root causes of poverty, using food as a vehicle for change. The Courtyard Pantry Enterprise was officially launched.

Since then, the organisation has gone from strength to strength, with its work being recognised by the Glasgow Times as 2022's Team of the Year and by the Big Issue, who identified the Courtyard Pantry Enterprise as one of their 'Changemakers' for 2024.
