Dementia Friendly Tweeddale Memory Café
Fortnightly on Thursday afternoons of the odd weeks of the year (1st - 7th January being Week 1) 14:30 - 16:30 at Firholm Day Unit, Innerleithen Road, Peebles, EH45 8BD for people living with dementia and their carers, family and friends. Refreshments, table games, musical activities, lots of talks and information and subsequent chat about other dementia services both local and national. Where to go in Peebles for help and support and to find an inclusive activity that suits YOU.
Alongside we are raising awareness about dementia in Tweeddale and inviting and encouraging our local businesses, traders, third sector organisations, all community groups throughout Tweeddale, to become Dementia Friendly and accept and acknowledge the disease of dementia, without stigma, ignorance or fear, as part of our human condition.
