DSL is a charitable organisation (SCIO) serving the Deaf / D/deaf / hard-of-hearing community across Lanarkshire. Our aim is to remove communication barriers, reduce isolation, and improve quality of life for Deaf people. We also provide services to hearing-impaired / hard-of-hearing people.


Services we provide:

  • BSL Interpretation and Translation
  • Courses in BSL (Level 1 - Interpreter Level)/Deaf Awareness Sessions
  • Drop-In Support Service - Benefits, Utilities, Booking/Phoning interpreters, Advice, Advocacy and more.
  • Social Activities/Groups/Workshops
  • Local Coatbridge Deaf Club


Office hours:

Monday - Friday 9.00-16.30pm


Drop-in:

Monday - Wednesday 10.00-16.00pm


Thurs/Fri - Appointment only.
