Get Ready For SDS
Get Ready for SDS is a friendly way to get information about accessing social care in the Scottish Borders. Self-directed Support (SDS) is the way social care is delivered in Scotland. People can choose how their care is provided and who provides it. They can have as much control as they choose on how that care is arranged.
You, or a family member, may be waiting for an assessment or a review of your care package. You might not even be sure if you are ready to ask for an assessment. We know this can be a bewildering time. Our support worker is available to have a conversation to talk through your needs to enable you to feel better informed before you have an assessment or review with Social Work.
We are available Monday-Thursday 9:30am -5pm. Home visits can be arranged.
