HMP Kilmarnock Visitors’ Centre / Prison Based Support

Providing a warm, welcoming environment to the families and visitors coming to the prison.

Visiting a prison can be a truly daunting experience for many people, and the team aims to make this as easy as possible. The team provide a tailored support package to anyone who requires this, and regular contact is maintained wherever required.

Support is the same as our community-based hub (see Foundations Hub), addressing housing, addictions, benefits, and health, while being able to assist with any issues their loved one may be having while in custody.

With a regular weekly presence within HMP Kilmarnock, we support anyone who has recently entered into custody as well as those due for 17 release, providing pre- and post-release support plans, ensuring that all needs are met, and appropriate support is in place.
