Kintore Parish Church Of Scotland
We are the congregation of the Church of Scotland in the village of Kintore, Aberdeenshire, continuing a heritage that began many centuries ago.
Our ‘Mission Statement’ is:
Using our gifts of time, resources and experiences, we commit ourselves to:
providing a loving environment where God is worshipped and Christian fellowship can be experienced
caring for all people
sharing the good news of God’s love and forgiveness in our homes, community and world.
Our church building, dating from 1819 and modernised several times since then, is the only one dedicated for Christian worship in Kintore. Many of our members were born and raised in Kintore and the north–east of Scotland. Others have moved into the area and come from different Christian traditions — as well as Scotland we currently have members originating from: England, Wales, Romania, South Africa, and Brazil. Our members come from Baptist, Episcopal⁄Anglican, Methodist backgrounds as well as Presbyterian and our minister, originally from Cape Town, served the Uniting Presbyterian Church of Southern Africa before coming to Kintore.
