Lochlan's Legacy
We aim to raise awareness and understanding of type 1 diabetes, break down barriers, reduce stigma, promote youth voice and build a strong community by delivering CPD-accredited courses to sports coaches, our school programme, youth groups and events.
Our charity was established by our founder, 11-year-old Lochlan who has lived with type 1 diabetes since the age of 4 - advance education on and raise awareness of type 1 diabetes by providing information, training and guidance by hosting events, where we:
- educate on the issues of type 1 diabetes via awareness sessions, conferences and information sessions, reduce stigma and promote a positive attitude for people living with the condition, and offer online resources and face-to-face awareness training sessions.
- promote understanding of type 1 diabetes to combat prejudice with such experience to allow inclusion and promote a positive attitude.
- advance health by promoting support and providing services to those with experience of T1D.
