MCR Pathways
MCR Pathways is a school-based mentoring program for care experienced and disadvantaged young people facing significant challenges.
The program supports P7 to S6 students through:
- Primary school transition support
- Group work in S1-2
- Relationship-based mentoring in S3-6
- Employability and career experiences
MCR recruits, trains and supports volunteer mentors from communities across Scotland, to be one good consistent adult for each young person.
Mentoring matters to us as there is amazing potential in our young people, the potential that’s often buried by the challenges of life outside of school. By spending just one hour a week listening and being there for a young person, a mentor will empower a young person to unlock their potential.
The programme is available in many secondary schools across Scotland. You can find your nearest school on our website.
