North Ayrshire Council Sensory Impairment Team

The Sensory Impairment Team offers a range of support services to you if you are blind, visually impaired, deaf, hearing impaired or deaf-blind. We will

work with you (including children), your families and carers to help you maintain or regain independence.

We can also assess for specially adapted equipment to help you with daily living tasks.

Accessing our services

If you or someone you care for would benefit from our services then you can call your local Social Services area office or the Sensory Impairment Team on 01294 310005, option 2 asking for an assessment of your needs.

Our offices are open Monday to Thursday, 9 am - 4:45 pm and Friday 9 am - 4:30 pm. There is also a duty system in operation every Wednesday from 9:30 am to 4 pm when you can visit our office to be seen by the duty officer.
