Richmond's Hope

We provide one-to-one support to young people between the ages of four and 18 using therapeutic play and specialised grief activities to help them understand how death has impacted their lives. We support children in Edinburgh, the Lothians and Glasgow.

We provide individual support on a weekly basis. During the sessions, we’ll explore memories, talk about feelings and help develop coping strategies. Sometimes the death may have been traumatic, if the person died through a sudden illness, accident, suicide, or murder. Even if death is anticipated, due to a long illness, children can still be shocked and need help to understand what happened and deal with their feelings.
