Ruchill Furniture

Ruchill Furniture is a furniture reuse project. It takes donations of unwanted furniture and household items which are in an acceptable condition. It cleans, repairs and restores the furniture and sells it to customers who have little or no income.

The Scottish Government has identified the provision of furniture as a key factor in supporting vulnerable people to avoid homelessness. Furniture is a basic necessity for people and for those who are financially constrained, this service helps many local residents.

The project helps tackles key social issues such as poverty through the provision of affordable household goods, and social isolation by helping users create a liveable home and engaging with the project.
