St Philip's Day Residential Care & Education
St Philip’s opened a new residential facility in April 2013.
The bulk of our services are designed around a central courtyard. We have four separate house units, each catering for six young people, all of which have their own bedroom, shower and toilet en suite.
The residential accommodation also contains a large living/dining area, kitchen and utility room.
There are two separate recreational rooms and a family room in each unit, with further space being planned for additional family contact.
The fifth unit, sited on a separate part of the campus, caters for young people who are nearing the end of their placement and preparing for transition back into the community.
Educational facilities are extensive and well planned.
The curriculum is delivered in the main building, with 12 classrooms, a gymnasium, fitness suite, floodlit sports pitch and 25m swimming pool.
The vocational curriculum is delivered in 3 locations; a purpose built Vehicle Maintenance Department, Garden Allotment and Construction Area. We also have an extensive Outdoor Education Programme.
All curricular areas are covered and contexts for learning addressed
