The Dornoch Area Community Interest Company
Situated on the picturesque edge of the Dornoch Firth, the historic town of Dornoch is a gem in the Scottish Highlands. With its championship golf course, award-winning beach, independent retailers, and delightful eateries, it’s a favourite for both locals and visitors.
In 2007, the Dornoch Area Community Interest Company (DACIC) was founded to enhance Dornoch’s town centre, providing top-tier services for residents and tourists.
Initially focused on business development, DACIC shifted to community-centric projects after Dornoch became a Business Improvement District (BID), handing over the "Visit Dornoch" brand.
DACIC’s notable achievements include the Dornoch Hub, a versatile space for offices, retail, workshops, and meetings. They also completed Phase 1 of the Dornoch South project in 2022, alleviating congestion with new parking facilities, including coach spaces. Phase 2 saw the creation of the Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA), offering more recreational opportunities to the community.
