The Sound Lab

The Sound Lab Logo

The Sound Lab provides free music education and creative mentoring to groups who experience barriers to access. Access to creative opportunities is a right, not a privilege, as laid out in Article 31 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).

Via a range of group workshops and 1:1 tuition, we offer flexible tuition programmes, tailored to the needs and interests of each young person. At present we predominantly work with the following groups:

  • care experienced children and young people
  • those with lived experience of displacement
  • children and young people with a disability / additional support needs
