Highland Carers

This is a Claimed service
Delivered by: Partners In Advocacy This is a Claimed organisation
Last updated: 14/10/2025

Within the Highland Council area, Partners in Advocacy provides independent advocacy for individuals involved in caring roles with a range of issues.

Caring for someone often involves dealing with a range of different agencies and professionals on their behalf, and this can be a daunting prospect if you have never had to do this before.  It can also be frustrating if you have reached a point where you feel you are not being listened to and don’t fully understand your rights, or the rights of the person you care for.

We can help you if you are a carer in the Highland Council area as follows:

  • Listen to you to understand your situation
  • Help to identify key issues
  • Find information to help you make choices and understand your rights
  • Write emails, letters, and make phone calls
  • Prepare and support you to attend meetings
  • Help you speak up when you can and speak on your behalf if you need us to
