Counselling

This is a Claimed service
Delivered by: The Marie Trust This is a Claimed organisation
Last reviewed: 16/03/2023

The service is for people who are currently homeless or have previously been homeless and continue to experience barriers in accessing mainstream services

We actively work with people who have mental ill health and/or who actively use or depend on substances. The aim of working with people with substance dependence is not to reduce or stop their substance use though the change in this area may be a secondary outcome.

Similarly, we do not expect to fully resolve mental illness but to enable clients to deal with issues that cause them distress.

Our approach is one of being accepting of the complexity of needs that exists within our client group.
