Inverness Openarts

Delivered by: Inverness Openarts
Last reviewed: 03/11/2022

Weekly art-for-wellbeing sessions welcoming people of all abilities and backgrounds aged 16+. Run by the Inverness branch of Wasps (based at Inverness Creative Academy), Openarts sessions focus on developing social confidence and mental wellbeing alongside artistic interests/skills.

Rotating between four venues across Inverness, sessions are facilitated by two qualified, local artists trained in mental-health first aid. A wide range of art materials is available at sessions, with participants encouraged to explore and experiment freely, developing their interests and skills over time. The artist's facilitators are on hand to provide guidance and technical demonstrations. Refreshments are provided and support workers are welcomed.
