Telephone Befriending and Alert Service

This is a Claimed service
Delivered by: Good Morning Service This is a Claimed organisation
Last updated: 06/08/2025

Telephone befrienders call out to older people at a pre-arranged time to check that all is well and for a good blether. Over time trust and meaningful relationships are built to become a friend who can be a listening ear who can give emotional support in difficult times.

If our call goes unanswered and the person can't be located, we will alert the nominated contact person (usually someone who has keys) or the emergency services to a potential health problem. Help will be sent 365 days a year.

To join or to refer someone please download a referral form and either call the Befriending Manager with the details or post the form to us.
