Do you struggle to get around? We promote independence and social well being in Dundee’s over 65 community.
Eligibility
It’s easy to become a member of Community Cars, we only ask that you are 65 or over and don’t have access to your own car and can’t generally use public transport. You must live within Dundee to use Community Cars but thanks to the generosity of our volunteers we can sometimes take you to another local town or city.
Customer Costs
To register as a customer of Community Cars there is a £10.00 annual membership fee (that’s less than £1 a month!)
Our drivers give up their time voluntarily but we reimburse them for the cost of wear and tear on their vehicles and so we do have to charge our customers for journeys. We have tried to keep this moderate at 55p per mile with a £4.00 minimum fee per journey taken which allows us to ensure our drivers are able to continue volunteering with us.
