Nurturing Natural Connections

This is a Claimed service
Last updated: 28/10/2025

Nurturing Natural Connections will have a range of opportunities to get people outside engaging with the environment for the benefit of people and nature.

Our Natural Benefits project will be running 'light' conservation volunteering sessions, health walks, and groups around nature art, folklore, natural heritage and wildlife.

The Nature Counts project will provide opportunities to learn how to identify and survey plants and wildlife so we can find out what wildlife lives around the town and where. They will also take action to remove invasive plant species, and improve the environment.

The Natural Heritage project will provide volunteering opportunities and training for skilled conservation tasks, taking real practical action to improve, restore and connect habitats.

A range of sessions and events, including tasters, and training will be available on weekdays, and at weekends, for individuals and groups.
